晋煤物流控股股份有限公司成立于2008年6月，是由晋城煤业集团和山西能源产业基金共同投资发起，山西省内多家能源企业参股设立的投资控股型企业，公司总部位于山西太原，注册资本2亿元人民币。

晋煤物流控股股份有限公司的成立，旨在将煤层气（CBM）的综合开发产业化，利用山西占全国储量三分之一的煤层气资源，以煤焦运输和大宗第三方物流为业务链，融聚各股东公司在煤层气开发及物流运营方面的经验技术，推动新能源及节能减排项目向规模化、产业化发展。

在未来五年，晋煤物流将致力于煤层气集输管网建设、加气站建设、燃气装备制造、煤层气重卡物流等项目的投资和运营，将煤层气重卡的数量从现运营的300辆发展到50000辆，加气站的数量从现运营的16个增加到300个，建设1500公里煤层气集输管网，年售气量达到60亿立方米。建设通达省内各市县的重卡物流网络，构建一个覆盖蒙西、陕西、山西等煤焦主产区与河北、河南、山东等煤焦消费集散区的重卡运输网（煤层气能源新干线）。在此过程中，晋煤物流将逐步引进国内外优秀的战略投资机构和产业投资基金，将下属的新能源项目推向资本市场。
